Shipping: Original work (paintings and block prints) will ship within a few days of the order being received. Of course, large and/or fragile works will require extra care and time. Please be patient regarding shipment of large works — ensuring they arrive safely is top priority. Insurance and tracking numbers are calculated into the shipping cost. I welcome both domestic (U.S.) and international orders.

When a painting is purchased with a floating frame add-on, the order will take a little extra time to ship, as the frames are custom made.

All items in the “Merch” section (shirts, prints, totes etc) ship from a print on demand (PoD) company with multiple fulfillment centers, and ship both domestically (U.S.) and internationally. The item is created upon order and will take a little extra time. PoD eliminates overproduction and unnecessary waste. Shipping times and delivery fees are displayed at checkout. Shipping rates are set by the PoD company. When an item ships, a tracking number will be provided.

Payment: Full payment must be received before the item ships. Payment through installments will be considered, contact with any questions.

Returns etc: Print on demand (merch) items are made to order and cannot be returned. Of course, if there is an obvious printing error, or if the item is damaged during shipping, then a replacement is issued by the print on demand company.

Original pieces (paintings and block prints) are non-returnable. Of course, if an item is damaged during the shipping process, and assuming the delivery provider accepts fault, a refund may be issued — All items shipped are insured for their full value, up to the maximum of 5000 USD.

Privacy: I have no intention of or interest in sharing or selling your data. Your name, address, and phone number will be given to the delivery company (USPS, DHL, UPS etc) when you place an order, and to complete the delivery. Your name, address, and method of payment (which this website is not privy to) will be used by the secure payment processor to complete the financial transaction.

Copyright: I, the artist, retain the rights to all of the works for sale on this website. Unauthorized use is not allowed; if a work of mine is to be used elsewhere, written consent must be granted.

I, the artist, own the rights to all commissioned works. This is outlined in all commissioned work contracts, and is up for negotiation, project depending. I have no interest in, upon delivering a commissioned work, making and selling copies of a commissioned work. You own the work, I own the rights, and any use of said work on my end would be to promote my services to potential clients. The commissioned piece will not be advertised on this website, or any other location, rather would be shown to a potential client as a reference to my experience and ability. I will first ask the owner of the work for permission, and will blur any identifying features upon request.

Commissioned Works: After the initial consultation, a proposal will be sent regarding painting specs, time frame, final price etc. When the proposal is accepted, a contract will be drawn up and sent. Once signed, half of the agreed upon price must be submitted before any work is to be started. Payment can be made by check or money order, Venmo, or Paypal. Typically though, I find it best to make a listing for your commissioned work in my shop, which you can then purchase online — this will auto-generate a receipt, an invoice on my end, and a proof of purchase through Squarespace. When the commissioned piece is completed, photos of the work will be sent and following that, a reasonable edit, free of charge, can be requested. The work will be shipped once the second half of payment is received — that is, after giving ample drying time for oil paints and varnishes.

A note regarding commissioned works: After the initial consultation, I can offer a rough sketch/mock-up of your future work. I don’t usually do any preliminary sketching before my non-commission work, and any mock-up I do is usually a very crude digital sketch for composition purposes. All this is to say, my commissioned works will surpass your expectations — that’s the goal — but my sketches are crude and are mainly used to communicate composition and sometimes color palette. The sketches do not reflect the quality of the finished work. Similarly, I will offer status photos of your work in progress upon request, but painting, more so than other visual mediums, falls squarely in the “trust the process” camp. Meaning, the work often doesn’t look great until it does, and a lot of the steps along the way often appear messy or unattractive, and are stepping stones toward the final product. Your happiness with your painting is my goal; you’re in good hands.
